Like Father, Like Son.

AML’s owner, Andrew Leaptrot, started working with his Dad at a young age. His Dad, a licensed general contractor & licensed electrician, taught Andrew a love for remodeling old homes, the craft of building & the value of hard work. Andrew grew up in Darien, GA & helped remodel the historic family home built in 1838. He began learning the value of hard work as a child by doing chores for his Dad like pulling nails for $0.01 each. During the summers, Andrew’s entrepreneurship blossomed by working for neighbors and local businesses doing painting, carpentry, landscaping & other “odd jobs.” Andrew started his own business in 1999. During his time at Glynn Academy, Andrew worked for his Dad & other companies on various projects on Sea Island, Saint Simons Island (SSI), Brunswick & Darien.

Customers Are Earned.

Andrew graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2005 with a degree in Commercial Construction Management. In 2005, he formally incorporated AML Construction & obtained his contractor’s license. Andrew moved back to Glynn County & invested himself in expanding his knowledge, AML’s services & his customer base. Andrew has been working as a contractor for FLETC since 2006. In addition, Andrew enjoys meeting with residential homeowners, HOAs, commercial owners, managers, tenants & receivers, real estate agents & other customers to help cultivate their goals, budgets & ideas into a final product. Throughout the years, Andrew remains grateful for the contacts & friends he has made in the industry, which has enabled AML Construction to provide reliable, exceptional & timely services.

Together We Excel.

Andrew & Tara married in 2015. In 2016, Tara left her career as a real estate attorney to join Andrew & AML Construction. Together, they strive to ensure each customer is satisfied & kept apprised of scheduling, budgets, expectations & other matters that may be uniquely important. They evaluate each project as if they were in the customer’s shoes & operate their business and their lives on general principles of fairness. As a couple, they invest in downtown Brunswick & Glynn County by purchasing & renovating dilapidated houses. Like his Dad, Andrew also enjoys sharing his passion for construction with his two children, Avery & Owen. Andrew, Tara, Avery & Owen appreciate living on Saint Simons Island (SSI) & spend their free time being outside, working on their house & visiting with their friends & families.
